Our nonprofit organization is dedicated to improving the lives of those in need. We strive to create positive change in our community through various initiatives and programs including: Academic scholarships; Hardship assistance; and seminars.

We also look forward to partnering with NGOs and Governmental agencies.

About Sunday Funsho Korode Foundation

Biography of SFK

Sunday Funsho Korode was born on September 22, 1950 in Omu-Aran, Kwara state to christian parents, Baba Joshua Ọláwuyi Korode and Mama Dorcas Adeniun Korode.
In 1963, he was enrolled in Provincial Secondary School, PSS Ilorin, now Government College, Ilorin. After five years in PSS, he worked briefly at Barclay’s bank before getting into Offa Grammar school for Higher Secondary school.

Sunday gained admission into the University of Lagos to study Business Administration in 1970 and it was shortly after this, that he got involved in the early activities of the Surulere church which did not officially start until 1973.
Sunday Funsho Korode rose to the position of Deputy Assistant General Manager, Manpower Development division at UBA, after which he worked briefly with the United Nations Development Programme as a Management Development Consultant, after which he was appointed as a council member of the Lagos State Public Service Staff Development centre. He then moved to the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, CIPM and was the CEO/Registrar of the institute for 12 years. After CIPM, he started his own management training consultancy, Grace Springs Academy, before joining the IGI team as the Group Head, HR; a position he held for 5 years before his retirement from active work in 2013.
Sunday and Monisola got married in 1974 and were blessed over the years with children and grand-children.
As the choir master of the Cherubim and Seraphim church movement, Surulere and worldwide, Sunday Funsho Korode is credited with exceptional leadership and with steering the choir to great achievements in musical evangelism through the rendition and production of classic and evergreen songs that have been critically acclaimed worldwide and remain in rotation, with active listenership till date.
In 2015, Sunday Funsho Korode became the General Overseer and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim church movement, Surulere, a position in which he served diligently until his call to glory in November, 2023.
